Unaccompanied Minors service is available on all TACA flights. This service is obligatory for children between 5 and 12 years old traveling alone and is optional for adolescents between 13 and 17 years old traveling alone. Children under 5 years are not accepted to travel alone and must be accompanied by adult of at least 18 years old. $60 service fee is charged for one-way trip on international flights and $30 service fee is charged for one-way trip on domestic flights.

Check-in deadline may vary depending on airports of origin and destination, but is not lesser than an hour. Passengers of business class are allowed to carry three pieces of checked baggage, each limited to 62 linear inches and 50lbs. Passengers traveling in economy class are allowed to carry two pieces of checked baggage, each limited to 62 linear inches and 50lbs. $25 service fee is charged for each piece of overweight baggage between 51 and 70lbs and $100 for overweight baggage between 71 and 100lbs. $100 service fee is charged for each piece of oversized baggage between 63 and 85 linear inches. Items exceeding 100lbs and\or 85 linear inches will not be accepted on passenger flight and must be carried by cargo. Note that it is recommended to put a label containing baggage owner’s name and detailed contact information inside each piece of checked baggage in addition to airport label attached outside. Child Fares
There are no special child fares applicable on all TACA flights. However, special child fares and discounts may be available on certain flights depending on route of flight, season of the year and possible promotions. Contact travel agent to find out whether child fares or discounts are available on a particular flight or route. Infants under 2 years old are charged 10 percent of applicable adult fare if traveling on adult’s lap and 75 percent of applicable adult fare, if traveling on separate seat.
