Midwest Airlines is unique company that combines personal attention, professional services and excellent comfort, regardless of rather small size of market they serve. It was awarded by Travel plus Leisure magazine as best domestic airline every year from 2002 till nowadays; Official Airline Guide named company Best North America Airlines in 2002 and 2003 and Business Travel Awards recognized the company as #1 Domestic airline. Born in 1948, right after the war, Midwest has quickly grown in one of most powerful nationwide airlines of USA. Headquartered in Milwaukee, it operates over 100 daily flights to 23 destinations in within the US. In comparison with the majority of other nationwide airlines, Midwest really wins competition in quantity and quality of the provided services. For instance all seats on all flights are most comfortable leather seats with largest legroom ever, chocolate cookies are baked onboard during the flight and they provide really excellent services for kids. Besides of this, Midwest’s routes are very attractive from financial point of view. Besides of discount fares and destinations, there are non-stop saver flights from Denver and Milwaukee to Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, Los Angeles, Tampa and back. To be brief – Midwest Airlines is one of most attractive nationwide airlines within the US.

Check-in time

Passengers can check-in online, at ticket counters and at self-service kiosks (available in Milwaukee and Kansas City) from 24 to hour and a half prior to scheduled departure of the flight, therefore check-in deadline is 90 minutes for all flights regardless of destination.

Baggage allowance

Passengers traveling on all Midwest Airlines flights are allowed to carry two pieces of checked baggage, one piece of carry-on baggage and one personal item. Note that carrying an additional personal item may be restricted in some rare cases. Each piece of checked baggage is limited to 62 linear inches (width + height + length) and 50lbs. Carry-on baggage is limited to 45 linear inches and 25lbs and must fit underneath the seat on in overhead compartment. Baggage meeting these limitations is carried for free per each ticketed passenger. Each additional piece of checked baggage that will not exceed the mentioned limits is carried for $50 fee. Overweight baggage between 51 and 70lbs is carried for $25 fee and between 71 and 100lbs for $50 fee per each piece. Oversized baggage between 63 and 115 linear inches is carried for $80 free per each piece. Baggage pieces exceeding 100lbs and 115 linear inches are not accepted on passenger flights and must be carried by Midwest Cargo.
Additional carry-on item must be rather light and handy item that can be easily managed by passenger during the flight. It can be a handbag, purse or briefcase not larger than 39 linear inches, umbrella or walking stick, overcoat or wrap, a handbook, newspaper or a magazine, photo or video camera, binoculars, or a laptop computer.

Child Fares

Infants under two years old may travel free of charge on adult’s lap. Infants under two years old occupying a separate seat are charged 50% of applicable adult fare and must be accompanied by an adult of at least 15 years old. Variety of discounts and special child fares are available for children and adolescents from 2 to 21 years old depending on destination and season of the year. Child tickets must be purchased at least 14 days prior to day of the flight and cannot be refunded.
