Check-in time
Passengers can check-in through airline’s website 24 hours prior to the departure and not later than 90 minutes prior to scheduled departure in the airport.
Baggage allowance
Passengers traveling by Air Tran are allowed to take one carry-on piece and one personal item aboard and two pieces of checked baggage with size and weight limitations. Carry-on baggage must not exceed dimensions of 55 linear inches. Allowed personal items are: laptop computer, reasonable quantity of reading material for flight, coats, cameras, walking sticks and crutches, umbrellas, wallets and small handbags, lap children food and briefcases. Carry-on baggage must fit under passenger’s seat, on table in front of passenger, or in overhead compartment. Checked baggage is restricted to weight and size limitations too. First piece of checked baggage must not exceed 70 lbs in weight and dimensions of 62 linear inches. Second piece of checked baggage must not exceed 70 lbs in weight and dimensions of 55 linear inches. Passengers carrying additional begs that fit into the mentioned size and weight are required to pay $50 for each additional piece of baggage. Passengers carrying oversize and overweight pieces of checked baggage are required to pay $65 for each piece. Note that oversize and overweight baggage has certain limitations, so it is better to find out whether your baggage is acceptable beforehand.
Change of passenger name or flight
You can change your flight destination for a fee of $50 having booked available ticket for the other flight. In case if fare of your flight is cheaper than fare of the flight that you are going to take, then you will have to pay the difference. If you have decided not to use your ticket, you can just place it to unused airfare credit and it will be stored during one year for a fee of $50.
